Teaching and Learning

  • To increase by 5% the number of students meeting the provincial standard on the April 2009 OSSLT and on the June 2009 EQAO math test. There will be a particular emphasis on students in applied level courses.
  • To have at least 1/3 of students achieve honour roll standing by June 2009.
  • To improve the percentage of credits earned to 95%.
  Climate for Learning and Working

By June 2009, we will have 100% of the staff and 80% of the students involved in at least one extra-curricular activity.

Leadership for Learning

To foster our professional learning community with emphasis on:

  • Staff-led PD on Transformational Practices, Schools Attuned, Stepping Out and Instructional Intelligence using resources such as Beyond Monet and Think Literacy
  • Staff mentoring staff, esp. new staff in the Side By Side NTIP
  • Create learning opportunities for exchange of ideas and best practices in x-dept. and x-panel
